Jacksonville Futsal Winter League 2026–27

When outdoor soccer winds down, winter futsal begins. The Jacksonville Futsal Winter League gives players a place to keep developing, competing, and enjoying the game all winter in a fast-paced indoor environment.

Individual Player Registration

Parents can register their child as an individual player. Individual players will be placed on a Jacksonville Futsal Academy–coached house team whenever possible, based on age, skill level, and available roster spots. This is a great option for players who do not already have a team but still want to play this winter.

Coaches / Team Registration

Coaches may register a complete team for the league. A coach or team representative will be responsible for player communication and roster coordination. Teams should have enough players for 5v5 futsal, with substitutes recommended.

Divisions: Built by age, registration numbers, and competitive level
Games guaranteed: 6 games, with a goal of averaging 7 when scheduling allows (maximum 8)
Team training: One practice/training session per team each week

Game days begin as early as 8:00 AM. Saturday games may run as late as 10:00 PM, and Sunday games may run as late as 9:00 PM.

Weekly Team Training

Every team receives one weekly training session. Training is split between technical development and team preparation, so players continue improving instead of only playing games. If a player has to miss their team training, they may join an available technical session instead.

What Is Futsal?

Futsal is a fast-paced indoor version of soccer played on a hard court with five players per side. The smaller court and low-bounce ball create more touches, faster decisions, and more chances to develop confidence under pressure.

Players work on ball mastery, first touch, passing and receiving, 1v1 attacking and defending, movement off the ball, finishing, and game awareness—all in a fun, competitive setting.

Individual Player Placement

Your child does not need to arrive with a team. We will place individual players on JFA-coached house teams whenever possible, with the goal of creating balanced, enjoyable teams in the appropriate age range and level of play.

Jacksonville Futsal Winter League 2026–27 — FAQ

Format & Competition

• All matches are played as indoor futsal in a fast-paced 5v5 format.

• Games are officiated, and scores and standings are recorded.

• Divisions are built using player age, registration numbers, and competitive level whenever possible.

• We work to keep brackets fair and competitive. If the first week shows that a team is clearly misplaced, we may adjust a bracket or schedule to create better matchups.

Who Can Play?

• The league is open to players U6 and up.

• Individual players are welcome—your child does not need to already have a team.

• Players registering individually will be placed on a JFA-coached house team whenever possible, based on age, skill level, and available roster space.

• Teams may be coed.

• Players may play up in an older division when appropriate, but may not play down into a younger division except in rare, program-approved circumstances for a truly new player who needs that placement for safety and development.

Age Divisions

We will do our best to create single-age or closely grouped age divisions with teams of similar playing level. Final divisions are based on registrations and may combine nearby age groups when needed.

Game Format

• 5v5 futsal: 4 field players and 1 goalkeeper

• Games use a low-bounce futsal ball; ball size is selected to fit the division.

• Games are scheduled on weekends only.

• The season runs November 21, 2026 through January 9, 2027, with no games Christmas weekend.

• Teams receive at least 6 games. We aim to average 7 games when scheduling allows, with a maximum of 8.

Game times may begin as early as 8:00 AM. Saturday games can run as late as 10:00 PM, and Sunday games can run as late as 9:00 PM.

Weekly Team Training

• Each team receives one weekly training session.

• Training combines technical development with team preparation.

• If a player misses their assigned team training, they may join an available technical session instead.

Registration & Payment

• $65 per player

• There is no team registration fee.

• Every player registers and pays individually, including players joining a coach-registered team.

• Coaches may still register their team and coordinate the roster, but players must complete their own registration and payment.

• A JFA jersey is $28.

Teams from other clubs and associations are welcome. Teams are responsible for their own matching uniforms; pinnies may be available if needed.
